Miss Southern Tennessee - Katie Hoppel

With an insatiable need for excitement and adventure, Katie isn't just strolling through life, she is screaming "Wow, What a Ride!" A graduate student with ambitions for an MBA in Marketing, Katie aspires to become a marketing account executive for a nationally recognized advertising agency.

In the words of Coco Chanel, "In order to be irreplaceable, one must be different", Katie never dreamed these words would inspire her to overcome the adversities she would be facing head-on, establishing her as an inspiration to so many individuals.

In 2006, Katie was in a near fatal automobile accident and faced the high possibility of permanent mental and physical disabilities which required months of painful therapy. Today, she is a true testament of great strength, determination and powerful conviction. She has received numerous academic scholarships and awards for overcoming adversity. She takes great pride for being on the Dean's list with a 3.7 GPA just two semesters after her near fatal accident.

In Katie's spare time she enjoys volunteering, speaking on behalf of the American Red Cross, and curling up with a good book.

Miss Southern Tennessee Teen - Deborah Hudgins

The one thing you notice about Deborah is her "bubbly" personality and high energy for life! It's no wonder why she is on the Honor Roll, voted Best-All-Around Freshman, Step Team Captain, MVP Dancer, 1st in State for Track and Cross Country and Secretary for the Junior Class.

Deborah believes in "Dreaming your hardest and keeping those dreams close to your heart." With talent and skills for singing, dancing and acoustic guitar, Deborah has her sights set on achieving success in the entertainment industry as a singer/actress, traveling on mission trips to Africa, and having a family of her own.

Deborah aspires to be a strong and positive influence to children and teens across the world encouraging youth to always have self-respect, to be thankful for who they are and to lend a helping hand.

Though Deborah is always on the Go, she enjoys spending time at home with family and friends, and of course Shopping!
