2011 Miss Southern Tennessee Tillery Throckmorton

Growing up in a large family, Tillery, the fifth of seven siblings, values family and her faith. Tillery has relied on both for encouragement as she made the decision to move from Texas to Tennessee to attend Belmont University where she is currently a Junior on the Dean’Äôs List majoring in mass communications.

Believing in the true beauty of Eleanor Roosevelt words ’ÄúThe future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’Äù, Tillery aspires to utilize her mass communications degree in all areas of communication; reporting, acting, dancing, singing, song writing, and seeing the culmination of Just’Äôin Time. Over the years Tillery has volunteered her time and resources for BUDS (Better Understanding for Down’Äôs Syndrome), Susan G. Komen, The Ark and Big Sis, which has inspired her passion for Just’Äôin Time.

Just’Äôin Time promotes the understanding of mentally and physically handicapped individuals throughout social interactions while creating a community environment of acceptance for them.

In Tillery’Äôs spare time she enjoys reading and cooking her famous Eggplant Parmesan for family and friends.

Miss Southern Tennessee Teen Kaitlin White

With an ability to find the positive in every situation, Kaitlin enjoys making others happy! A quality she learned from being a dedicated fan of Lucille Ball. Proudly boasting she has watched every episode of
’ÄúI Love Lucy’Äù! A Nashville native, when asked; what she likes most about where she has grown up? she replies ’Äúthe people, of course’Äù!

Kaitlin lives by her motto ’ÄúDon’Äôt wish for it, work for it’Äù with zest. She has modeled on the cat-walks of New York, graced the pages of over 10 national magazines & 2 covers, a film actress, an accomplished dancer, swimmer and cheerleader, Kaitlin encourages her peers to live by this motto, too, through her program of ’ÄúJust Move’Äù. Speaking to schools and youth groups, Kaitlin challenges her peers to join group activities that promote physical movement and social enrichment like volunteerism, organized sports and camps.

With her sights set on medical school, Kaitlin aspires to be a Dermatologist specializing in the latest skin care techniques and producing her own skin care and cosmetic line! But before she heads to college, you can catch Kaitlin just being a typical teen hanging out with friends hot-dogging on the lake, designing clothes and driving her jeep!
